Modding has long been a big aspect of PC gaming and it’s one of those things that can enhance gameplay or give you new ways to play with a quick and easy download. We’ve seen a ton of great mods lately over on the likes of Baldur’s Gate 3, but today let’s turn our attention to Stalker 2, which was released at the tail-end of 2024.
Back when the first Stalker 2 mods appeared online, many of them were quick to address ongoing optimization and performance issues with the game. However, now, we want to feature this ‘Dodge’ mod on Nexus Mods which gives you an additional movement mechanic to play around with and it feels like a throwback.
Dodge mod for Stalker 2 Heart of Chornobyl
The Dodge mod for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl was recently posted online and it adds the simple functionality of dodging left and dodging right to the game.
Keyboard:
- Dodge Left: Double-tap [A] or Lean Left Key (Z)
- Dodge Right: Double-tap [D] or Lean Left Key (C)
GamePad:
- Dodge Left: Press (B) while moving left or hold [LT] and press [LB] twice
- Dodge Right: Press (B) while moving right or hold [LT] and press [RB] twice
This immediately reminds us of how dodging worked in the Unreal Tournament series – the classic arena shooter from Epic Games. Just like this mod, it also requires a double-tapping input and works in much the same way, as demonstrated by the video below. The dodge mechanic became somewhat of a trademark for the UT series and is extremely useful for dodging away from enemies or projectiles. So, if you want a little extra bit of mobility during your Stalker 2 playthrough, this is the mod for you.
According to the mod page on Nexus Mods, creator ‘rbwadle‘ has also added a single press input by using the numpad in the latest 1.0.1 version. However, for that authentic Unreal Tournament feeling, double-tap is the way.
