Hell Let Loose was free on Epic Games at the beginning of the year, though one of its DLCs wasn’t part of that deal, despite plenty of others being included. Well, now 5 months on, the Summer Warfare pack has been made completely free and is available for you to get on both Epic Games and Steam. The DLC is a uniform pack available as a cosmetic that’s been made “free for a limited time as a thank you to our community!” so be sure to grab it up before it gets a price again.
What you do get is the US M1943 Combat Uniform that unlocks for all roles (except Armor and Commander) at level Role 7. Even though it is just a cosmetic, it still gets good reviews. As on Steam, the DLC released in 2020 and since has averaged Very Positive reviews.

What is Hell Let Loose?
The game is a hardcore World War II first-person shooter with some rather impressive epic battles. Having 100 players with infantry, tanks, and artillery, it also uses an RTS-style management for resource meta gaming to add more layers to think about.
Having been fully released (following early access) by Team17 in 2021, the game has managed to keep its reviews and player count relatively high for being an online-only and now rather older game. Both recent and all reviews average out at very positive, as updates keep coming to keep the game flowing, with the most recent one just two months ago.
As for the player count, you shouldn’t struggle to find players, as on SteamDB the chart shows peaks in over 6,000 users during the highest played periods. Not the biggest game community in the world, but not too shabby. Plus, there are other versions, including Game Pass and Epic, that have cross-play between them, so you should have no trouble finding games.
It is still rather expensive, though. If you didn’t manage to grab it for free on Epic, full price is $50 and might not be worth the cost for some people. Especially with the Steam Summer Sale coming at the end of June. We don’t know if the DLC will still be free by the time that kicks off, though.
