Sapphire has decided to support the ASUS ecosystem, the famous BTF. The latter features a special power connector for the graphics card: the famous GCHPWR. Placed in the extension of the PCIe slot, it supplies power to the graphics card without any visible cables. And this time, it’s the RX 9070 XT Nitro Phantom Link!

Broadly speaking, this new version of the card is based on the original design of the brand’s Nitro model. Although unconfirmed, it is expected to retain its original dimensions and design. In fact, this model would still feature a champagne-colored fairing, with an attractive side grille highlighted by RGB lighting. Beware, however, as this is an imposing card, with three slots and a total length of 330.8 mm.
However, despite the presence of a connector enabling it to dispense with the 12V-2×6 connector, Sapphire has chosen to retain this power socket. Indeed, the BTF ecosystem is far from widespread. The brand has made this choice so as not to imprison its product in a given range, which would risk killing sales.
For the moment, we don’t know the frequencies either, but we can reasonably assume that they will be identical to the original card. This would translate into a boost of up to 3060 MHz. Finally, there are two HDMI and two DisplayPort connectors.
All that remains is to find out the retail price. On the other hand, we wonder whether Sapphire will go further with this series by offering other products or accessories, or whether it will remain a niche range. In any case, Sapphire is one of the few manufacturers to embrace the ASUS concept.
