MSI seems to be launching a series of graphics cards aimed at the SFF(Small Form Factor) sector, the good old ITX to its friends. Indeed, with the RTX 5050 Inspire, MSI is offering a card that will easily fit into the most compact cases on the market. Its ultra-limited length and two-slot thickness make it a perfect candidate!
RTX 5050 Inspire: 147 mm in length, on just two slots!
MSI’s Inspire range isn’t a series that’s made a big splash; on the contrary, it’s a range that’s remained relatively discreet. It is, however, a range with a rather aesthetic appearance, with a golden fairing and compact dimensions. The series starts with the RTX 5050 and goes up to the RTX 5080.
With this card, MSI announces an ultra-compact model, measuring just 147 mm in length and two slots in height. It also features a fairly basic heatsink. Firstly, it features a single fan. What’s more, it features a simple aluminum block into which are machined fairly thick fins through which one or two heat pipes pass. On the other hand, you don’t need much more: an RTX 5050 has a TDP of 130W.
Despite this format, MSI has announced two versions of the card, one featuring factory overclocking with frequencies reaching 2617 MHz in Extreme performance mode. The other will run at a maximum of 2587 MHz. Via MSI Center, you can choose between Gaming and Silent profiles .
In any case, connectivity is based on the same video outputs, with three DisplayPort 2.1b and one HDMI 2.1b. As for the power supply, there’s a single 8-pin PCIe.
For the moment, no price has been announced for this card. However, MSI is returning to the principle of the Gaming ITX series launched a long time ago.
